AI Back-End Engineer <> IBM

Join our team as an AI Back-End Engineer, where you will be instrumental in designing, developing, and delivering cutting-edge AI solutions for IBM Z. This role focuses on enhancing the performance, security, and scalability of critical systems, directly impacting global industries. Key Deliverables

• Design, code, debug, test, and deliver creative AI solutions for client problems and requirements.
• Collaborate effectively within an agile environment to understand requirements and deliver high-quality solutions.
• Apply IBM's Design Thinking principles to create solutions with exceptional user experience and robust performance.
• Contribute to leading-edge projects utilizing machine learning, deep learning, and other AI technologies.
• Ensure all developed solutions meet stringent standards for quality, resiliency, performance, security, and stability.

Essential Requirements

• Experience with designing, coding, debugging, and testing PyTorch Core & Internals.
• Ability to contribute to and extend PyTorch internals and backend architecture, including TorchInductor, TorchDynamo, and AOTAutograd.
• Proficiency in debugging low-level PyTorch runtime issues (autograd, dispatcher, kernels, graph breaks).
• Deep hands-on experience with PyTorch FSDP.
• Advanced skills in C++ and Python, with strong debugging ability.
• Experience working with DevOps methodologies to deliver high-quality solutions on AI frameworks.

Preferred Qualifications

• Master's Degree.
• Experience integrating AI frameworks with custom or proprietary accelerators.
• Open-source contributions to PyTorch or related projects.
• Deep understanding of AI runtimes, memory hierarchies, and parallel execution models.
• Hands-on experience with torch.compile and TorchInductor.
• Experience employing IBM's Design Thinking to create innovative and effective solutions.
