Professor - Orthopaedics

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Professor of Orthopaedics to join our academic and clinical team. In this role, you will bridge the gap between advanced clinical practice and medical education, shaping the next generation of healthcare professionals while providing high-quality patient care. You will serve as a key mentor within our department, driving academic excellence and clinical outcomes in a fast-paced, institutional environment.

Key Deliverables

• Diagnose and manage complex orthopaedic disorders and trauma cases with a focus on patient safety and clinical excellence.
• Perform elective and emergency orthopaedic surgeries independently while maintaining rigorous infection control standards.
• Deliver high-quality instruction through lectures, bedside clinics, and case discussions for MBBS students and postgraduate residents.
• Supervise postgraduate dissertations and provide mentorship on clinical research projects to foster academic growth.
• Publish original research in indexed, peer-reviewed journals to contribute to the department’s scholarly output.
• Collaborate with the Head of Department on administrative planning, institutional accreditation, and quality improvement initiatives.
• Ensure full compliance with National Medical Commission (NMC) regulations and institutional ethical standards.

Essential Requirements

• MBBS degree recognized by the National Medical Commission.
• MS or DNB in Orthopaedics from a recognized institution.
• Experience as prescribed under the latest NMC eligibility criteria for the post of Professor.
• Proven experience in teaching undergraduate and postgraduate students.
• Demonstrated independent experience in managing trauma and elective orthopaedic procedures.
• Research publications as required by current NMC regulations.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in developing innovative teaching materials and digital academic content.
• Active participation in national or international orthopaedic societies and conferences.
• Prior experience in managing departmental administrative workflows or institutional committee work.
