Technical Support & Quality Assurance (QA) Associate <> Visa

We are seeking a detail-oriented Technical Support & Quality Assurance Associate to bridge the gap between our business users and development team. In this role, you will serve as the primary point of contact for application troubleshooting while ensuring our proprietary platforms meet rigorous quality standards before deployment. You will play a critical role in maintaining the reliability of our systems, directly impacting the efficiency of our international operations.

Key Deliverables

• Investigate, troubleshoot, and resolve technical issues reported by internal business users to ensure minimal operational downtime.
• Perform comprehensive manual functional, smoke, and regression testing to validate new features and bug fixes.
• Analyze JavaScript/TypeScript codebases to trace root causes of application errors and document findings for the development team.
• Maintain and update technical documentation, support guides, and test cases to streamline future troubleshooting efforts.
• Verify application performance across various browsers and devices to ensure a consistent user experience.
• Collaborate closely with developers to provide detailed bug reports and facilitate efficient release cycles.
• Manage support tickets effectively, ensuring clear communication and timely resolution for all stakeholders.

Essential Requirements

• 3–5 years of professional experience in Technical Support, Application Support, or Manual QA.
• Proven ability to read and interpret JavaScript or TypeScript code to assist in technical investigations.
• Proficiency in using Browser Developer Tools (Console and Network tabs) for debugging web applications.
• Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills with a high level of attention to detail.
• Excellent written and verbal English communication skills for effective cross-functional collaboration.
• Ability to work independently in a fully remote environment.
• Must be comfortable working permanent night shifts aligned with Toronto (EST/EDT) business hours.

Preferred Qualifications

• Hands-on experience with React, Next.js, or Node.js environments.
• Working knowledge of SQL for database querying and data validation.
• Familiarity with automated testing frameworks such as Playwright or Selenium.
• Experience using project management and ticketing tools like Jira, Linear, or Zendesk.
• Prior exposure to the immigration, education, or professional consulting sectors.
