This role involves driving innovation within the Echo Show Home team, focusing on developing features that enhance the visual and interactive experience on screened Alexa devices. You will be instrumental in creating and maintaining systems that power the device's home screen and Alexa+ agent, contributing to a seamless and engaging user experience at Amazon scale.

Key DeliverablesDevelop and maintain new software systems and features for Echo Show and similar screened Alexa devices.
Collaborate with internal Amazon and third-party teams to integrate services and device functionalities.
Ensure high performance and minimal latency for Alexa services, operating at Amazon's scale.
Contribute to device frameworks, web services, APIs, and large-scale data infrastructure.
Lead by example, balancing technical depth with a customer-focused approach to deliver impactful products.
Mentor and guide junior engineers, fostering a culture of technical excellence and continuous improvement.

Essential Requirements5+ years of non-internship professional software development experience.
5+ years of programming experience with at least one software programming language.
5+ years of experience leading design or architecture (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems.
Experience as a mentor, tech lead, or leading an engineering team.
Proficiency in testing, API development, and static timing analysis (STA).

Preferred Qualifications5+ years of experience across the full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations.
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or an equivalent field.
